A successful hashtag printing event starts with making sure all attendees have their social media accounts set up correctly. The most common issue we see is guests with private Instagram accounts — Photoboxx can only detect and print photos from public posts. This guide covers the quick steps to ensure smooth printing for everyone at your event.
Instagram Setup Checklist
Before the event, remind guests to switch their Instagram account to public (they can switch back after). Posts must include the event hashtag in the caption, not just in comments. Stories with hashtag stickers also work. We recommend creating simple signage with these instructions and placing it near the Photoboxx printer station.
For Facebook printing events, guests should ensure their post privacy is set to 'Public' and include the event hashtag. For @Mention printing, guests simply need to tag your brand's account. Having event staff near the Photoboxx station to help guests with these basics ensures maximum participation and a smooth experience for everyone.
